Wildlife Fundraising (Central) Limited is a not for profit company, wholly owned by a partnership of 7 Wildlife Trusts. The company was formed in 2013 to provide face-to-face (F2F) membership recruitment services for the members of the company.
Wildlife Trust Members are vital as a key source of income and volunteers; and with over 150,000 members in our area of operation, they provide a powerful mandate for the Trusts to undertake their conservation work and to have significant local influence. Membership often provides the only stable, predictable source of income to the Trusts.
WFC seeks to deliver value to our Member Trusts by supplying face-to-face (venue based) member recruitment services. Teams of Recruiters, led by a Team Leader work at pre-arranged venues such as supermarkets, local events and county shows across the following counties; Essex, Hertfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Birmingham, Leicestershire & Lincolnshire.
To recruit new members to The Wildlife Trusts
“After seeing the role of Membership Recruiter advertised at my local Wildlife Trust nature reserve I thought this would be a perfect fit for me as I have a keen interest in wildlife and spend a lot of time photographing a variety of species. My background wasn’t in sales however I was successful in the role and became Team Leader for the Lincolnshire and Leicestershire area after a year.”
"I’m 78 years old and wish I’d known about this role sooner. I work part time and find the job very rewarding and a great way to supplement my pension.”
“I joined the Wildlife Trust as I have always loved the countryside and wildlife. By going out and talking to the public and encouraging them to join a great cause like this makes me feel that I am contributing in a positive way to helping our wildlife for the future. I get to meet some great people at various events such as country fairs and fetes, and overall find it an enjoyable and lucrative way of earning some extra income.”
"I am a part time Membership Recuiter. I love the variety that this job brings, meeting lots of people and raising awareness of the vital work that The Wildlife Trust do throughout the UK. The working hours can be very flexible. You do need your own transport and then just yourself and a positive attitude.
Training is provided and support is always there. A great company to work for."
"An excellent part-time job, visiting many interesting and varied locations. The position of recruiting which I hold is very rewarding you really feel that you are achieving something for a worthwhile organisation.
The basic pay is good, with a realistic opportunity to earn more on commission, petrol used to travel to venues is paid.
The structure and organisation is excellent well supported by a very hands on team leader. I’ve been with the company just over three months and I am really happy I joined.
The job does involve on occasions quite a distance to travel, but if you are new to your area, it can take you to many interesting places of interest you may never have known about."
