The Chesterford Group was established in 2004 by father and son Hugh & James Lipscombe to purchase the entire shareholding of fishnchickn Ltd, the largest chain of fish and chip shops in the UK.

The company is based in Bishop’s Stortford with its stores based in the South East, South and South West of the UK. Its primary role is to invest in opening new stores or purchasing existing businesses and opening them under one of its three core brands: fishnchickn, Churchill’s or Bankers. The Chesterford Group currently operate over 40 branded fish and chip shops in the UK, serving over 3 million meals a year.
