The Chaseley Trust is an independent Charity owned and run Care Home for adults over the age of 18 with a wide range of severe physical disabilities, including spinal injury, acquired brain injury, stroke and loss of limbs. We also care for those with progressive neurological conditions, such as Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease or Parkinson ’s disease.
We have recently been inspected during 2018 and have attained the overall status of OUTSTANDING with CQC which are staff and resienstd are very proud of achieving
We have a large staffing chort of approximately 160 staff and to achieve the high quality care we wish to povidee we believe we ensure that we provide good training, supervsion and support for all staff.
We provide staff withpathways for development within the home and are keen to ensure staff fulfull their potential.
Residents may come to stay Chaseley after an accident or illness, for short or long-term care, rehabilitation programmes, a short holiday, or for our outpatient therapy services, and can be sure that we are dedicated to helping them to be as independent as possible and enjoy their life to the full.
Chaseley have high levels of Care Staff and qualified Nurses to ensure we provide high quality care and can support complex care requirements. We therefore provide a wide range of training to ensure our Staff knowledge, skills and competency levels continued to meet the needs of all our Residents.
Many of our 55 bedrooms have fantastic sea views, some rooms can accommodate two persons and we encourage residents to personalise their own space.
We have an amazing physiotherapy department that incorporates our gym that specialises in neuro physiotherapy with adapted equipment for those who are wheelchair users. Our therapy team provides specialist rehabilitation programmes, with qualified neuro physiotherapists and occupational therapists.
Our large dining room has adaptations available for those with specific needs and we are able to cater for residents who have specific, specialist dietary requirements. The dining room has fantastic sea views and our in-house chefs provide lovely home cooked meals. Some residents choose to eat in their own rooms or in the CasBAR, our bistro area with outside decking to enjoy Eastbourne’s high levels of sunshine.
Many of our residents take themselves to some of the local tourist attractions as well as go out with staff to the other venues for the theatre or music events. Our Activities Team offer a wide range of things to do over the week some new and some to try such as Arts or Ceramics in our crafts centre, Flower arranging, gardening, quizzes, relaxation group, seat based yoga and a visit from Therapy Animals to name but a few.
We will support and enable development, independence and well-being. Whether the goal is to increase independence or further Resident abilities, we build an individual personalised plan of care that is right for the individual.
