Space Inclusive is an East Midlands based social enterprise that is committed to improving the lives and prospects of people with learning disabilities and learning difficulties by offering appropriate and aspirational opportunities.
We support around 160 people across 5 sites in Nottinghamshire, providing person-centred programmes for young adults with learning disabilities aged 18+ who have a personal budget. We offer practical real-life based activities that will support them in their transition from school or college into a sustainable adult life.
We recognise that there are many challenges that young adults can face and we strive to support people’s individual needs through small group working and providing access to a range of opportunities in three main areas: skills for employment, skills for supported/independent living and social skills.
To enrich, enable and progress the lives of young adults with autism and/or a learning difficulty.
Space Inclusive was started by 2 people who have a passion for Social Care and, more importantly, for providing the very best possible care, support and enablement to all clients.
Our services operate accross 5 sites in Nottingham City/Nottinghamshire and employ a wide range of people with skills in the arts, drama, therapies and dance.
We are an inclusive employer who truly cares about your health and wellbeing as an employee. This is why we will approach every job role considering key areas such as: flexibility, support, mentoring, clinical supervision, quality training, flexible working and yearly pay increases.
Your development really matters to us; that is why we place so much importance on putting your training needs at the very centre of the service we provide.
We employ a Quality Assurance and Training Coordinator whose role is to ensure our staff receive the training they need. Most of our training, especailly mandatory traning, is done within our organisation and is based on real life situations you are likely to face day-to-day. We even work with some clients on media-based projects to produce training manuals for staff to refer back to!
At Space Inclusive our expectations are high but our commitment to staff is high too. We have learned (and continue to learn) when things don't go to plan and we take your feedback on board to enable us to improve the service we provide to our clients and the environment and working conditions for our staff.
In January 2020 we introduced paid wellbeing leave for all staff. This is alongside our Time To Change pledge, which has been completed and submitted. This shows our position in relation to wellbeing at work and enables staff to know they do matter to us and that we realise there is life outside of work.
Finally about you: if you are hardworking, kind, considerate, skilled in autism and you want a challenge, please do consider applying for a job with us. We are loyal and caring about our employees so this oportunity could be just what we are both looking for!
