We pride ourselves on delivering high class training in plumbing and gas. We currently train around 85 apprentices over 4 years of apprenticeship, we work with On Site Bristol who are part of Bristol City Council who place the apprentices with us for their training.

We also train adults who are looking to enter the plumbing & heating industry, and anyone who is already in the Industry and is looking to gain a qualification. We also have an ACS gas centre.

Our facilities are excellent and our tutors are enthusiastic about teaching. We provide our tutors with up to date and comprehensive resources to enable them to provide the highest level of training. 

We are an award winning training centre, having received an award from the Employment Skills and Learning department of Bristol City Council for the delivery of our plumbing training to all their On Site apprentices.

South West Construction Academy Ltd is a family run business. After working for over 7 years in further education, Shane McCallum wanted to set up his own training centre to offer an alternative to the college environment. Shane prides himself on giving students an excellent experience during their training and has built the resources himself which results in high first time pass rates on exams.

His wife Nikki runs the administration side of the Company after working 30 years in the Insurance Industry at management level.
