What we do

Somerset Care Group are one of the major care providers in Southern England and one of the largest not-for-profit care companies in the UK.

We pride ourselves on offering high quality care to those who need our help most. We strive to make every customer feel special and cared for whether they have chosen to continue living in their own home, in a supported setting or in a care home.

It's our amazing teams of Carers, Nurses, Managers, and support colleagues who make this a great place to work. Our teams are incredibly passionate about the jobs they do and hugely dedicated to helping thier customers ...and we can't thank them enough.

Working in care and at Somerset Care is more than just a job. This is somewhere you can really grow, where you can learn new skills and feel part of something very special.

We're here to help, we're here to care, we're here to make a difference!

We have 27 care homes across the south of England and offer a range of care and support services to help people remain independent in their own home, including our My Willows home care teams.

We also provide specialist learning disabilities support through our Realise service and dementia care through out Petals teams.

We operate throughout Somerset, Devon, Dorset, Wiltshire and BaNES

Life at Somerset Care

We are proud of the relationships we build with the people we care for and work alongside. Respecting and connecting with people by listening first, then listening some more and ensuring people’s wishes are met with dignity

Alongside our fantastic team of carers, are our equally important support teams, whose roles cover a wide range of specialisms including; HR, Finance, IT, Quality, Property, Learning & Development, Administration and more.

We care about our customers. We care about our people. We care about care.

It's our values and behaviours that make us a very special place to work. At the core of everything we do is thinking about our customer and putting them at the heart of all our decisions. To do this we have built our values around four key principles

Connecting with People - Making a Difference - Doing the Right Thing - Embracing Change

We have an amazing team of people, with a broad range of experiences and skills ready to help you when you join Somerset Care. Many of our roles don't need previous experience so it's a great place to join if you are thinking about care for the first time. For those of you with experience we can offer continued career development and ongoing support to progress your career.

Whether its a care or support role, no matter whether you have experience or no experience, everyones development matters at Somerset Care

"I enjoyed great support from my manager and work colleagues when i joined, so that I was confident to go out alone. I quickly built friendships with my customers that I provided home care for so it soon became a pleasure seeing them every day. Joining the My Willows team was the best move I made" - Laura My Willows Care and Support Assistant

“ I have been a key worker to some amazing and wonderful people who always remain in your heart. I have had the pleasure of working with some amazing people, who shared my passion for caring for others, and can now count many of these people not just as colleagues but as true friends"Sharon, Qulaity Manager
