Who we are

Powersystems are a specialist High Voltage electrical engineering company established in 1977. As a highly trusted partner of our clients we have grown through a reputation of excellence to become a major force in the design and installation of industrial electrical systems. We have an ethos in delivering ‘the right result’ for you. When our clients need the right solution, we have the technical ability to do this and we always maintain a flexible approach in delivering their project to ensure an effective hand-over to the end clients.

How we work

As an independent Connection Provider (ICP) Powersystems has been assessed and accredited nationally by the Lloyds Register Accredited Contractor NERS scheme to carry out grid connection services through all voltage ranges up to 132,000v (in competition nationally with DNO’s) as well as private HV infrastructure projects across the UK, this involves:-
Design, Project Management, Cable laying, Cable jointing, Substation installation. As well as all associated civil engineering works including excavation, cable laying and backfilling.

Industrial Power Distribution - From initial design to final commissioning and testing, Powersystems offers the complete distribution package for:-
Design, Network analysis, Plant procurement, Installation, Transformers, Switchgear, Generators, Cable installation, termination and jointing, Protection and control panels, Testing and commissioning, Maintenance and Project management

Power Generation – Powersystems has installed many Megawatts of generation in the form of:-

Standby generators, Diesel rotary UPS, CHP Schemes, Diesel and gas STOR and Battery storage systems

We are able to carry out Full Engineering Procurement Construct (EPC) package. Civil works, design and construction as well as supply, installation and commissioning of generation plant and mechanical and HV/LV electrical services.

At Powersystems we have also been at the forefront of the renewable energy industry, with many schemes successfully completed and now supplying electricity to the national grid. These projects include the design and installation of:-
Renewable Energy, Waste To Energy, Anaerobic Digestion Generation Schemes, Solar Farm / Photovoltaic Schemes, Hydro generation schemes, Wind farms, Landfill gas generation, Bio fuel generation schemes and Tidal generation schemes
