Who you'll work with

Our Pioneers are at the heart of the services we offer. We will not be able to effectively recruit and retain motivated employees if they do not feel respected and valued every day. We will always put our Pioneers' wellbeing and safety first.

The following principles will constantly guide us:

1. Remuneration: As an accredited Living Wage employer, Pioneer FM has and will always pay its Pioneers a fair and competitive salary.?


2. Respect and Dignity: Every Pioneer has the human right to be treated fairly and with respect. We have no tolerance towards harassment, bullying, or victimisation. Our Management team, alongside our ethics helpline, must always provide our Pioneers with a safe space to report any violations. Every report of a breach will be listened to and, where required, investigated. The safeguarding of our Pioneers will always be our priority.?


3. Employee Engagement: Our Pioneers must commit to our vision and purpose. Without this, none of us will succeed. Annual monitoring and investment in employee engagement programmes (including our market-leading engagement software) will help us realise this ambition.


4. Employee Reward Programmes: The cost of living continues to increase, with many frontline workers in food and fuel poverty. We must help our Pioneers to make their salaries go further. To reduce their cost of living, we will provide ongoing investment in our People Plus programme, ensuring the best discounts at many UK retailers are made available.


5. Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion: This is more than policies, reports, and programmes. As a female-owned business, we understand the importance of providing equal opportunities for all. To be true Pioneers of the FM industry, we need diversity of ideas, experience, and backgrounds to foster innovation and customer relationships. We commit to regularly monitoring our ED&I performance and sharing the results, good or bad. Without measurement, we will not improve and take corrective action where necessary.?


6. Performance Management: The professional success of our Pioneers is our collective responsibility whilst they are part of the Pioneer FM family. We commit to 6-month appraisals for every Pioneer to help them identify their training needs and promotion opportunities, boost their morale and give them greater autonomy in their daily role.???


7. Training and Development: We have hundreds of Pioneers within our business. Our commitment to investment in training and development will unlock their true potential and bring new voices to the industry.?


8. Lone Working: Some of our Pioneers are required to work alone due to the nature of Pioneer FM's operations. We must constantly assess the risks associated with these roles and implement technologies and processes to minimise risk, taking effective action when needed.?


9. Modern Slavery: We have a collective responsibility to ensure all our Pioneers are safeguarded, treated fairly and with dignity. We will publish an annual statement to show processes we have implemented to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not happening within our business and supply chain.?


10. It is the responsibility of every one of our Pioneers to care for one another and comply with and uphold our People Policy.?
