Peel L&P reaches 'Best Companies' top employer lists

Peel L&P has been recognised as a top national and regional employer in three of this year’s Best Companies Lists and has retained its two-star accreditation for 2021.

The regeneration business has reached The Top 100 Best Large Companies To Work For, the North West’s Top 100 Companies To Work for list as well as placing third in the Top 5 UK-wide Property Sector employers.

The rating, voted on by employees, means the north west-based business demonstrates outstanding levels of employee engagement and is well on its way to achieving the top three-star accreditation.

Peel L&P has been keeping its people connected through the pandemic with a range of virtual events from DJ sets, quizzes, murder mysteries, fitness classes, Time 2 Talk days, coffee mornings and employee appreciation days.

It also issued a wellbeing-focused newsletter every Wednesday packed full of tips and activities during lockdown to help its people and their families to stay healthy and supported.

Over the past 12 months Peel L&P has adapted the business to become more flexible and has created new working environments that embrace health and wellbeing, sustainability and collaboration to suit the needs of a new virtual world.

Peel L&P’s extensive portfolio spans retail, leisure, residential, energy and includes some of the biggest transformational projects in the UK such as MediaCityUK, a £5bn Liverpool Waters development and Wirral Waters, a scheme to regenerate a 500-acre former dockland site.

It’s been a great year for the company’s charitable and community endeavours too with Peel L&P providing the land and vision for the new Embassy Village homelessness project in Manchester. And in Salford, The Peel Group is a founding partner of RHS Bridgewater to help improve the health, wellbeing and education of local people and school children through the Peel Learning Garden based at the new world-class horticultural attraction.

Peel L&P is also working with Therme Group to bring the world’s most advanced wellbeing resort to TraffordCity and in Liverpool, Everton FC’s plans have the green light to be built at its new iconic waterfront stadium at Liverpool Waters.

Employees are encouraged to take a day out of work to take part in volunteering and the company runs various charity events when Covid-restrictions allow.
