Like all great tech companies, we started with a problem we knew needed solving – because it was a problem we were struggling with ourselves.

Andrew was an east-London, quasi-hipster software engineer with a dream of self-building a home, but unable to find any land. And I (Jonny) was a Geordie, ex-town planner turned software developer who'd felt the pain of using the slow, clunky systems needed to access good land information.

We thought that if we could make it easier to access land development data, we could help a whole load of people (ourselves included).

And thus LandTech was born.

That’s how it started. But the longer we’ve been in the market, the bigger our plans have got. Bolder too.

Now, our vision is to help more people than ever to find land and build better places. To help them access the information, tools, and team they need to find opportunities. To take them through the planning process, to raise funding and to make the site construction-ready – all in the easiest way possible.

Because those aren’t just industry-wide problems. They’re worldwide.

As more people than ever migrate from rural to urban areas, we can help to build houses to accommodate them. Plus the roads, schools, hospitals, sports facilities and pubs (lots of pubs) to offer the communities everything they need to really thrive.

Now we are the fast-growing Proptech company in the UK, backed by the same investors behind TransferWise, Zoopla, Shazaam and Property Partner to power a new era of property development!

We started with LandInsight – redefining the way property developers found and assessed off-market sites. It was popular. Hugely so. So we knew we were on to something.

Then we launched LandEnhance – bringing that same level of innovation to the planning world, making it easier than ever to get not just any answer, but the right answer, to your planning applications.

What’s next? Well, that’d be telling…

But suffice to say, the whole property industry could work better. And we know just the people to make it happen.
