Working at KNH

What we do

Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing (KNH) was set up as an ALMO in 2002, we are a not-for-profit Kirklees Council-owned housing company. Our tenants are council tenants and we manage 23,000 council houses; we have a long history of involving tenants and residents in the decisions that affect their homes and communities; and we have always been about more than bricks and mortar.

Merging KNH with Building Services during 2016/17 creating a new organisation which has the ambition to be the ‘go to’ housing organisation for Kirklees.

As a value driven company, we use these values to think about how we behave with each other in the company and how the company interacts with tenants, other customers and with partners. Our values are:

Progressive - be open to new ideas and approaches; lead by example, look for better ways of doing things
Engaged - believe in what you’re doing and what KNH is trying to achieve;
 take interest, ask questions and seek to understand
Respectful - treat people as you would wish to be treated; be polite, patient, kind and understanding
Customer Focused -treat people as individuals; take ownership of problems, keep people informed, be caring
Honest - be transparent & open; truthful and factual, be clear about what you can and cannot do.

We believe that working with others to create effective partnerships and working internally to ensure we all operate as one team for KNH will enable our success, in delivering our core business, the new organisation and achieving our ambitions.
