What we do

Centre 404 is a prominent and successful charity that offers friendly, reliable and person centred support to people with learning disabilities, autism and their families. We currently operate across 6 London Boroughs.

It was founded in 1951 by carers of children with learning disabilities and continues to work towards building a society where people with learning disabilities are valued and involved. Over the years, Centre 404 has built vital services that have enabled children and adults with a learning disability and their families to have a voice and access to activities and support.

“In adult social care, no two days are the same because supporting people of different ages, with different abilities and needs, means making a difference in all sorts of roles. If you’re the sort of person who treats others with respect, listens to their needs, understands their emotions, and is warm, kind and honest, then social care could be the job for you. Many roles in adult social care are more about experience, values and qualities than qualifications, but you can still develop your skills with on-the-job training or formal qualifications.”

We are keen to hear from candidates who share our values and passion for supporting people with learning disabilities to achieve their goals. So if you are friendly, driven and eager to contribute to a great cause, we may just have the perfect role for you!

We offer a comprehensive induction and relevant training, as well as regular support and ongoing coaching.

Centre 404 is working towards a world where people with learning disabilities, autism and their families have the support they need
