Working at Bramley Health

What we do

Bramley Health is a Specialist Health and Social Care provider based in London and the South East of England. Our Key Focus is to support individuals with complex and challenging needs to maximize their independence to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.

We achieve this through outcome-focused models of care with an integrated care pathway. Our pathway spans from Specialist Hospitals to Enhanced Residential services and Supported Living services.

We focus on delivering a high quality care pathway in the areas of:

Learning Disabilities

Specialist Hospital Services

The main aim of the service is to help men reduce the risk they may pose to themselves and/or others and help them gain or recover skills to enable them to live in supported community settings. The aim is for them to step down to the residential service within 6 months of admission. The service has input from a full specialist team including psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, specialist nurses and social workers.

Specialist Learning Disability Residential Services

The services are able to provide the right care for individuals stepping down from hospital whose needs cannot be accommodated in standard residential or nursing care services. The services are also able to accept men and women that may have been living in other community services but are experiencing deterioration in their presentation. In this case the services aim to prevent hospitalisation. The services are able to accept referrals directly from hospital without any need to go through our own hospital service.

Mental Health Issues

Our Model of Care focuses on enablement/re-enablement, positive risk-taking, therapeutic optimism, relapse prevention, personalisation, enhancing quality of life, fostering confidence and self-esteem and using creative and flexible approaches to engagement. Our hospitals provide a structured environment for individuals who present with a diverse range of complex needs and behaviour that is likely to challenge.

Our extensive in-house Multi-Disciplinary Teams work collaboratively to develop bespoke Care Plans centred on the needs, challenges and aspirations of each individual.

Neurocognative Disorders

Individuals in our care may come from a variety of settings. In some cases they may come from mental health hospitals having developed dementia or sustained a brain injury. Our services offer specialist physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, neuropsychology, neuropsychiatry and specialist OT services. This way we are able to cater for complex needs such as significant mobility problems, problems with swallowing, aggressive behaviour and neuropsychiatric

Female Complex Needs

The service features robust procedural and relational security aimed at managing self-harm and challenging behaviour and is able to manage women stepping down from secure facilities, even those detained under forensic sections of the mental health act. The service is particularly designed to care for women who present with a variety of conditions occurring at the same time.
