Bona’s founder, Wilhelm Edner, originally owned a small grocery shop in Malmö, Sweden where coffee was his favourite product. In his shop, he also sold bonvax, an agent which, when applied to a wood floor, created a polished and protective surface. Edner realised the potential of bonvax, and founded Bona AB in 1919. Now, over 100 years later, Bona is the foremost leader in the hardwood floor industry, with a wealth of innovation experience and knowledge - all focused on bringing out the beauty in floors.

Bona Limited is the UK distributor of products manufactured by Bona AB in Sweden.

With over 100 years of family heritage, we manufacture products for the flooring industry. Although best known for our wood flooring lacquers, we also manufacture flooring adhesive, sanding machines, abrasive, oils, commercial and retail cleaning. All of these are stocked in Milton Keynes supplying our distributors around the UK with 1-2 day delivery.

With a diverse portfolio of products our route to market is as varied. Your contacts in the field could be flooring contractors where you would need to demonstrate new sanding machinery and train them on how to use effectively, you could be meeting architects or other specifiers and showing them how a floor will look when the Bona range is specified or you could be discussing our range with a stockist with the aim of gaining more bredth or depth of stock. No two days will be the same
