What we do

Burden Bros, or BB4 is a family-run group of companies that incorporates Farms, Machinery, Contractors, Hospitality, Agri (new and used agriculture and turf machinery sales) and Construction. BB4 Hospitality incorporates The Ferry House in Sheppey, Mocketts Farm Cottages and Events Management & Catering.

BB4 stems from the four Burden brothers, John, Guy, Dale and Alex who jointly own and operate the businesses. Burden Bros is based on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent with additional locations in Stockbury near Maidstone in Kent, Ivychurch near Ashford in Kent and Framfield in East Sussex.

Burden Bros Farms is a 3,000-acre arable and livestock farming business that not only owns and farms its own land but also contract farms for landowners in the area.

Burden Bros Machinery is an internationally renowned used machinery business that exports used equipment and quality used parts to markets all over the world.

Burden Bros Contracting is a multi-functional agricultural contracting business that operates within the triangle of Dover to Cambridge to Southampton.

BB4 Hospitality is a corporate events and wedding venue with extensive restaurant, catering and accommodation facilities.

Burden Bros Agri is an authorised dealer of the John Deere portfolio, Bomford Turner, Bunning, Cherry Products, Kramer, Joskin, Larrington Trailers, Mecmar, Pottinger, Sumo, Trioliet, Trimax, GreenMech, Charterhouse, Roberine and Allet. It is based at three locations across the South East of England servicing Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

Burden Bros Construction is a highly reputed construction company with completed projects that include major AD Plants, retail buildings, commercial properties, roads, grain-stores, effluent management and total groundwork.

At BB4, we are proud to be an integral part of our local community. Our staff and their families, our customers and their families and of course the owners and managers of BB4, all live and work in the community and everything we do has a direct effect on community fulfilment. We proactively support local groups such as Young Farmers Clubs, The Farming Community Network and local schools. We participate in and support charitable organisations where they are focussing on local causes. Many of our team members participate in events such as road or off-road cycle races, marathons or mud-runs - to name but a few, raising valuable funding for charities in need of our support.
