Basingstoke Counselling Service is a small, local charity which has been offering counselling to individual adults and couples over 18 since 1985. We also offer training for individuals who wish to pursue a career in counselling or find out more about counselling skills to enhance their current role. We run regular Continuing Professional Development workshops for counsellors who are qualified or in training on a variety of relevant topics.
To provide a responsive, professional and affordable counselling service to local people and to provide accredited counsellor training.
Basingstoke Counselling Service is run by a small management team who report to the Board of Trustees. The counselling and training services are supported by a small administrative team. We have three paid clinical supervisors and 20 counsellors, who mostly work as volunteers. All staff and volunteers work on a part-time basis.
