Working at BAC O'Connor

What we do

BAC have been supporting people struggling with drug and alcohol addiction for over 20 years with a proven track record of providing excellent, person-centred care for all our service users. Whether that’s inpatient detoxification, residential rehabilitation, semi-independent recovery housing, recovery services in the community or a combination of all of these - we produce some of the highest long-term outcomes in the country because our evidence-based programme works.

We employ a multi-skilled team with a number of our staff having personal experience of substance misuse addiction themselves. We are proud to employ a diverse team here at the BAC, showcasing just what is possible upon completion of our programme - with the right infrastructure and support.

We are looking for staff to join our teams at both Burton-on-Trent and Stoke-on-Trent who have a passion for caring about the health and wellbeing of people struggling with addiction and supporting them through their own recovery journey.

We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days each week across 52 weeks of the year – basically we always have staff on hand to support our service users. So, bearing this in mind, we know that we need to recruit and look after our flexible workforce to provide this level of care.

Hours of work will vary dependent upon the role. That could include day and night shift-work, some evening and weekend work or working regular days or nights – dependent upon the job role. What is important to us is the balance between work and home commitments and the welfare of our staff - as well as that of our service users.
