Who you'll work with

Investing in Young People

By 2021, 273 million young people are estimated to not be in employment, education or training. Here at Amore Group we are committed to helping reduce this number by offering apprenticeships and equipping young people with the right skills for employment.

Ella discusses her experience below…

“I started my apprenticeship with Amore in August 2015, where I gained my NVQ level 2 and 3 in Business Administration on completion. It was a positive experience where I was supported by the directors and my amazing team who helped me not only to gain confidence but to be conscientious within my duties. My apprenticeship helped me with my employment by learning to look at the bigger picture and taught me how to perform well under pressure.

"I was recently promoted to the role of Senior Placement Officer as I approach my 6 year work anniversary at the Amore Group!”

A day in the life of a Support Worker

Providing care and support to those most vulnerable can be difficult and challenging at times, though rewarding when you overcome these obstacles and see the personal growth in the individuals in your care.

We ensure our contractors are fully supported and offer assurance of regular hours which are flexible to fit around their requirements.

Becky Wall, a support worker at Amore Complex Care recently commented:

“The team at Amore Complex Care really look after me. I no longer feel stressed and I am relaxed knowing I have their support and the confidence that they can provide me with regular hours that keep me busy!

The team helped me out recently when I had a few difficult shifts and it's good to have that support.”

CQC Rating of Good

We are extremely proud of our CQC rating of ‘GOOD’ which shows the high standard of care we are providing for our clients.

The Care Quality Commission stated that:

‘People's support focused on them having as many opportunities as possible for them to gain new skills and become more independent.’

At Amore Group we put together a person-centred plan, working hand-in-hand with our service user's closest circle of supporters.

We are then fully aware of the breadth of challenges required to achieve their defined outcomes and can develop a plan that factors in all of the individual’s particular needs.

We set specific goals for every individual under our care and we work tirelessly to ensure these goals are realised.

Training

The strength of our service is determined by the skills and knowledge of our staff. Therefore, we heavily invest in providing our team with a comprehensive training package.

The workforce is encouraged to undertake further qualifications in Health and Social Care, such as NVQ programmes. We also train workers to understand the importance of personal reflection, reciprocal feedback and problem-solving both individually and as part of a team.

We provide specialist training for our workforce where they are required to deliver higher levels of care and support than is standard. In addition to the mandatory training that we provide to support workers covering the Care Certificate, we provide specialist training in the following areas:

• ABI awareness
• Rehabilitation training
• Capacity and consent
• Mental health knowledge
• De-escalation techniques
• Manual Handling

This is followed by on site competency-based training.
