Key Account Manager - Freight Forwarding (Heathrow Area) Salary: 35,000 - 46,000 Commission Location: Heathrow Working Hours: 09:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday (occasional out-of-hours work from home) Experience Required: 10 years in UK Freight Forwarding (No sponsorship available) Are you a seasoned Freight Forwarder with deep expertise in airfreight imports and a passion for delivering high-quality customer service? Join our team as a Key Account Manager and play a vital role in managing time-critical shipments for a diverse portfolio of clients, including perishable goods and ship spares in transit. Role Overview You’ll predominantly manage airfreight imports , but the role also involves handling road freight imports/exports and courier shipments . Our clients rely on fast, efficient, and accurate service, and you’ll ensure their shipments arrive on time, every time. Responsibilities Customs Clearance: Handle airfreight shipments using CDS (operating system: Sequoia). Documentation: Process road freight exports/imports, including raising T1 documents. Cargo Coordination: Work with handling agents at Heathrow (LHR) to release cargo. Logistics Management: Arrange collections from LHR and deliveries nationwide. Client Quoting: Provide clients with competitive and accurate quotes. Administration: Raise invoices and process supplier invoices for payment. Customer Service: Maintain our high standards of quality service. Troubleshooting: Resolve any issues that may arise with shipments. Attention to Detail: Ensure every step of the process is accurate and efficient. Skills &amp; Experience Required 10 years’ experience within the freight forwarding industry. Strong import customs experience , especially with airfreight. Familiarity with time-critical shipments (e.g., perishable goods, pharma, ship spares). Knowledge of all transport modes : air, road, sea, and courier. Experience with UK Freight Forwarding processes (essential). A thorough understanding of quality customer service . Import/Export customs experience , particularly in raising T1 documents. What's in it for you? Competitive Salary: 35,000 - 46,000 depending on experience. European Transport Planner

Responsibilities: Coordinate and oversee the end-to-end transportation process for Air/Sea Freight shipments, from origin to destination. Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers and service providers, ensuring competitive pricing and service levels that meet customer expectations. Arrange for the timely and accurate documentation of shipments, such as bills of lading, customs declarations, and transportation contracts, in compliance with relevant regulations. Monitor and track shipments, providing regular updates to clients on the status and resolving any issues or delays that may arise. Coordinate customs clearance processes, working closely with customs brokers to ensure compliance with import/export regulations and documentation requirements. Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their inquiries, providing solutions, and ensuring their satisfaction with our services. Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and operational efficiencies within the Ocean/Sea Freight transportation department. Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience in Air or Ocean Imports Has good knowledge of all aspects of shipments (Imports from point of origin to destination Has knowledge and experience of customs procedures and documentation Has confident and effective communication skills (verbal and via email), with the ability to build relationships with customers Has full knowledge of all Incoterms as appropriate to Imports Can collaborate with the customer to provide the best service available within the time constraints provided &amp; can consistently meet deadlines in a timely manner Benefits Salary Range - 30k to 38k (Depending on Experience) Mon to Friday Shift Pattern - 9 to 17:30 Annual Salary Review Annual Bonus 25 Days Holiday Bank Holidays Pension
