The company are now looking to add an experienced formulation chemist to their expanding team. The exciting role will be formulating new biological and chemical products for the purpose of pest management and increasing crop yields. As the formulation chemist you’ll be playing a pivotal role within the company, working on new and existing formulations, with the opportunity to do real blue sky thinking at the beginning, but also working collaboratively with the rest of the company with how to commercialise an end product. As the successful applicant you’ll be PhD educated in a chemistry based subject and will have expertise in formulating and designing products. Any experience with biologically active peptides would be advantageous but not essential. PhD Formulation Scientist

The CIC’s to be detailed and proven to achieve the desired result and include photos of key inspection points to verify the cleaning effectiveness. The frequency of cleaning shall be risk based and regularly reviewed. Ensure all adequate and appropriate resource is in place to meet all cleaning schedules and that the relevant staff are appropriately trained to carry out the cleaning tasks required, including COSHH training. To lead the development of the business hygiene strategy including building and maintenance of required cleaning area. To be involved in the purchase of any new plant or equipment to ensure that it is hygienically designed to facilitate easy cleaning. Hygiene Manager

I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a&nbsp;leading Scottish Biotech who are at the forefront of crop protection in the UK The role of the lab technician will be varied in day to day activities, it will include (but not limited to); Design, set up and perform experiments, analyse and interpret results and contribute to the development of experimental strategies. Document research output including analysis and interpretation of all data, maintaining records and databases, drafting technical/progress reports, SOPs as appropriate. Maintenance of laboratory areas, experimental resources including insect colonies/host plants and specified equipment. Perform laboratory administrative tasks including stock control; and budget and expenditure monitoring, as required. Be responsible for safety management related to the organisation and running of laboratory and/or experimental techniques, equipment and processes as appropriate. As the successful applicant to this role you will be BSc educated in a relevant subject e.g. Zoology, Biology, Applied Biology etc. You will have previous lab based experience involving entomology of some kind. The company are offering an attractive salary of up to 25,000/annum along with a host of company benefits.
