The Opportunity As a Locum Pharmacist, you will be committing towards dispensing, checking and creating Homecare formulations that allow the transfer of patient care effectively from the hospital to their home, under the guidance and supervision of experienced members of the production team. Everything is a team effort - You will be part of a wider team and this means getting involved, caring about your team mates and working together closely. Additionally, you may undertake the duties of a Responsible Pharmacist in the absence of Superintendent and Senior Homecare Pharmacists. Some key responsibilities for the job are: Dispense and check medicinal products eg. Prescriptions for Parental Nutrition and ancillaries and home dialysis patients. Manage the day to day operations of the home dialysis dispensing process in the absence of the Superintendent or Senior Homecare Pharmacists. Set up and check homecare Parental Nutrition formulations and prescriptions, liaising with referring prescribers as appropriate. Contribute to on-going quality improvement eg. reporting of errors, near-misses, complaints and incidents and support training of pharmacy technicians and dispensers. Please note, this role will involve fridge-work. About You To apply for this role, you should also be able to start within 1-2 weeks of applying and be comfortable with fridge work.
