Working at Centre for Health and Disability Assessments

What we do

Centre for Health and Disability Assessments (CHDA) is part of MAXIMUS, an international company committed to helping governments achieve their goals by providing essential services to the communities we serve. As such, we deliver the Health Assessment Advisory Service on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

With a number of Assessment Centres across the UK, CHDA arranges and carries out assessments, including Work Capability Assessments (WCA), for DWP. Our highly trained doctors, nurses and physiotherapists carry out high-quality, respectful functional assessments to understand how an illness or disability affects a person’s ability to carry out work-related activity. Our findings are submitted to the DWP so that they can make an informed decision on an individual’s eligibility for benefits.
