What we do

The Company has been in the motor transport business for many years but since 2003 has specialised in special needs passenger transport. The Directors of the company have used their many years of passenger transport experience to design and set up possibly the best and most effective special needs transport organisation in the country.

The company operates under a Public service vehicle operator’s licence issued by VOSA and a Private Hire Operators licence issued by Uttlesford District Council and owns and operates a fleet of modern vehicles that are dedicated to school and social care transport. Vehicles are ordered and purchased specifically to the clients requirements. The average age of the vehicle fleet is less than 3 years. Currently our fleet exceeds 1,500 vehicles, consisting of cars, people carriers and wheelchair accessible vehicles and we employ in excess of 2,000 drivers and passenger assistants. The majority of our vehicles are to Euro 6 specifications ensuring a low carbon footprint within the community. The company operates to a high quality standards and has been awarded a 5 star grading by the Licensed Private Hire Car Association.

The 24x7 Group

The 24x7 Group supplies both mainstream and special needs school transport on a contracted basis. 

The group was originally set up as a family run business and we have ensured We have kept the family business feel through our expansion while also constantly raising the bar especially in special needs school transport.

The Opportunity

We have part time work available in your local area, the work is every school day for both am and PM runs. The work on average is between 12.5 and 20 hours per week.

Applicants for all positions within the company will need to undergo a criminal background check; this is carried out by the Criminal Records Bureaux after completion of a form. A medical to group two standards will also be required for drivers in order to prove fitness to drive.

We are licensed by Uttlesford District Council for Private Hire; you will need to be licensed as a driver by Uttlesford.

The Requirements

The vehicles supplied to you will need to be parked overnight in a safe location. And are supplied for work purposes only.

Passenger assistants will be required to attend a Passenger Assistant training course this is an interesting and informative course.

No experience is necessary as training is provided.
