Working at 167 Catering Support Regiment

What we do

167 Catering Support Regiment - Royal Logistics Corps is a unique regiment of nationally recruited Army Reserve Chefs. Our headquarters is in Grantham and our primary role is to provide catering support to the British Army, anywhere and in any environment.

We are unique in that we are a nationally recruited Army Reserve unit, this means we have soldiers and officers located all over the UK.

As Reserves, we are part-time soldiers who come from all walks of life. There is a  minimum Reserve commitment of 19 days a year with flexibility to do up to 199 days.

When you join the Army Reserve, you'll get involved in everything that the Regular Army does - from combat to peacekeeping and humanitarian work. You'll be given the opportunity to learn trade skills, and can take advantage of the opportunities that Regular soldiers have too - like adventurous training. You'll be paid for the time you serve.

The difference is that Reservists are not full-time soldiers. Many Reservists have a day job.
