Working at The Beeches UK

What we do

At The Beeches we provide care/support and accommodation for children/young people with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour. We provide a combination of residential childcare services, supported living services, and educational services through our independent special needs school, and are registered to care for children aged between 9 and 19 years of age. The Beeches UK’s vision is providing support and care for children with learning difficulties and challenging behaviours, promoting independence, choice and valuing individual uniqueness, diversity and achieving outcomes that matters most to the children and young people we care for.

Everyone wants a purposeful job and to do something meaningful. Everything we do at The Beeches UK keeps the children/young people we support at the centre of what we do. We work in partnership with local authorities to achieve positive outcomes for the young people who are placed in our care, and to enable them to acquire practical life skills to ensure they lead a fulfilling and independent life and develop to their full potential.

We invest in children and their future.

Who you'll work with

At the Beeches we value a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our staff are chosen and trained to provide excellent care, and develop a sense of community and belonging within The Beeches "extended family". The Beeches inspire children with positive attitudes about themselves, which in the long run will give them the confidence to deal with their disabilities. Our staff are prepared to deal with any conflict that inevitably occurs and can assist in reaching a peaceful resolution and to help create a calm and holistic environment where children feel safe, secure and are able to lead independent and happy lives.

You will be working within our residential care homes for young people aged between 10-18, responsible for children/young people with a staff team who provide support and a child centred service to children/young people working in partnership with them, their families, social workers or carers, and with colleagues from other settings.

You will be working under the direction of the Care Manager and actively contribute to the provision of quality care, including the health, welfare, education, and development of young people across 3 of our Peterborough homes. All our homes have a Registered Manager, Care Manager, Deputy Manager, Team Leaders and Residential Support workers. The staffing level within the homes depends on the need of the young people.
