Home Instead Senior Care was founded in 1994 in the USA by Paul and Lori Hogan, after they had cared for Paul's grandmother in her own home for several years. With their help, she was able to stay in her own home and lived many years longer than expected. This experience inspired their desire to help other families with ageing loved ones and led to the creation of Home Instead Senior Care.

The UK franchise was established in 2005 and based on similar reasons to Paul and Lori. Home care in the UK was lacking a personalised approach and as a result of our mission led outlook, Home Instead Senior Care quickly grew into the UK's leading quality home care company. The UK business was transferred back to Paul and Lori Hogan in 2015, securing continued investment in the brand and building on common aims for the growth and success of the business.
