Balens were founded in 1950 and are an ethical 4th Generation Family Brokerage with over 70 staff and 80,000 plus clients. Balens pioneered specialist wordings for Health and Well-Being Professionals over 22 years ago and pride ourselves on the full range of services developed during that time to support our clients.

The Role: We are seeking a Business Development Executive to join our dynamic team to drive sustainable growth and profitability for Balens locatated in Malvern by identifying new business opportunities, cultivating strategic partnerships, supporting the expansion of service delivery, and delivering innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. Responsibilities:&nbsp; Manage a pipeline of opportunities from prospect stage to sale, with the support of the wider Balens team. Deliver new, and maintain existing, introducer and partner relationships. Provide support across the wider Balens team to ensure successful conversion of opportunity. Be a key member of our Events team, delivering workshops, presentations, networking and engaging with attendees, exhibitors, and partners. Work collaboratively with our Compliance and Agency teams to ensure all regulatory components of relationship management are achieved. Develop and implement strategies to enhance lead generation, opportunity conversion and penetration rates. Collaborate with the Balens team to identify and address customer concerns. Resolve incidents promptly and Implement improvements based on incident analysis. Identify opportunities for individual and team development, fostering a culture of continuous learning. Take responsibility for ensuring you are compliant in terms of regulatory requirements. Take responsibility for ensuring compliance is embedded in your work. Experience: Proven experience in a sales focused role. Demonstrated success in lead acquisition and conversion.&nbsp; Experience in managing client relationships with multiple stake holders.&nbsp; Track record of implementing successful customer retention &amp; conversion strategies. Understanding of commercial insurance&nbsp; Knowledge of performance reporting and KPI management. Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Negotiation and influencing. The Role: We have an exciting opportunity to offer to someone coming from a proven Customer Service background whether it be retail, hospitality or any other role where you deal with customers and are looking for your next career step. Working with the Claims Department to provide effective administration support for Balens Ltd, the role will enable development and training to Claims Handler level. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be a great team player and have excellent attention to detail alongside demonstrating a passion in delivering the very best customer service. Responsibilities: Update calls and information on Balens Administration System (BAS) as directed by Claims Handler. Liaise with insurers as directed by Claims Handler. Setting up new claims on the system Investigating claims and requesting relevant documentation. Understanding policy wordings and how a policy will respond to a claim. Chase diary entries for documentation that is outstanding. Make sure that emails in the claims inbox have been allocated to the correct handler. Chase insurers for updates on payments and reserves. Scanning and photocopying as directed. Liaise with DAS panel solicitors on current cases for updates. Prepare basic claims reports in BAS and Excel. Liaise with colleagues regarding updates and data collection. Transfer insurers’ claims data to BAS. Answer telephone and assist clients with enquiries.
