Jobs you can do with CIPD Level 3

 

HR Assistant 

What do they do? An HR assistant handles a variety of HR related administrative duties, from processing payroll data and assisting with employee onboarding, to data entry and responding to queries online and by phone. Their role covers all things employee related, and it requires them to be knowledgeable about policies, regulations, and procedures.

Salary expectations: £24,000. 

What you’ll need: CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice

 

L&D Coordinator

What do they do? An L&D coordinator or L&D assistant handles a range of tasks typically supporting the smooth running of the L&D department and its services. These might include administration for a learning event, liaising with delegates and supporting an L&D manager in collecting data. They will be the first point of contact for all L&D related queries and handle training and employee related paperwork.

Salary expectations: £24,000.

Jobs you can do with CIPD Level 5

 

HR Adviser

What do they do? An HR adviser supports an organisation and the needs of its workforce. Their duties could range from resourcing new talent, providing advice on employee relations such as conflict and performance management, supporting cultural change through to training and development.

Salary expectations: £30,000. 

What you’ll need: CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management

 

L&D Manager

What do they do? L&D managers are a strong force in promoting employee and organisational development. They are instrumental in managing and making decisions about L&D interventions, career development and planning along with talent and development initiatives. Usually the budget holder for professional development, they will also oversee any apprenticeship training.

Salary expectations: £46,000.

What you’ll need: CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in Organisational L&D

 

HR Manager

What do they do? HR managers play a key role in managing employer-employee relations and are involved in a wide range of activities from recruitment and training to disciplinary and grievance issues. Managers tend to be generalists who can turn their hand to anything from managing organisational change to developing specific policy areas.

Salary expectations: £47,000. 

What you’ll need: CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management

 

Jobs you can do with CIPD Level 7

 

HR Business Partner

What do they do? An HR business partner works closely with an organisation to develop an HR agenda in line with their goals. They do this by building relationships with senior management, researching the company’s business plans and determining what success looks like, which allows them to encourage the use of a coherent HR strategy.

Salary expectations: £55,000.

What you’ll need: CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management

 

L&D Director

What do they do? An L&D director is responsible for the development, management, and delivery of an organisation’s learning and development activities. Their tasks and duties include overseeing and managing compliance training, implementing tailored learning strategies, delivering eLearning courses, and all things L&D related. 

Salary expectations: £70,000.

What you’ll need: CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Strategic L&D

 

HR Director

What do they do? An HR director guides and manages the entire HR department. They focus on setting strategic goals, the implementation of policies and programmes, developing HR initiatives, succession planning, and more. It’s also their job to liaise with the executive board, taking responsibility for the HR department’s performance. 

Salary expectations: £90,000.
