Carry out pre-contract site surveysCarry out site inductions and TBTs when requiredCreate and deliver task briefs with site personnelUnderstand and ensure compliance with the scope of work to be carried outCreate and issue fortnightly works programme to site teamAssist with applications for paymentEnsure quality of workmanship is in compliance with the Specification, and completed in accordance with the contract programmeManagement of the project Quality Plan and maintenance of quality assurance recordsFollow the site quality plan and keep records as requiredConduct site testing of materialsOrdering of Plant & MaterialsKeep detailed site administration records, e.g., Site Diaries, Plant & Labour ReturnsManage on-site subcontractors, labour requirements & allocation of resources in close liaison with the Site ManagerComplete health & safety, quality & non-conformance site audit forms when requiredAccompany H&S Advisors on all site visits and undertake corrective action requiredEnsure that the site is managed in accordance with the form of contractEscort site visitors when requiredAttend site management & Client meetings as requiredCollaborate with stakeholders including clients & the supply chain, to keep abreast of innovation and infrastructure requirementsWorking in close liaison with the contracts management team to drive and develop the working relationships between the stakeholders, including clients, supply chain & colleaguesAssist HR & Training departments with onboarding, performance management & development of operativesPromote & encourage innovation and valueMotivating, coaching, encouraging, supporting, & providing guidance to operativesEnsuring professionalism, integrity, and quality is maintained throughout all activitiesContribute to our uncompromising health & safety for all mission by ensuring company SHEQ, and all other procedures are followedSupport & contribute to our sustainability and social value goalsAssist with and promote our mission of providing a safe and caring workplaceAny other duties as reasonably required Site Engineer - What we need from you: Knowledge of basic engineering principles & CDM RegulationsUnderstanding of different methods of measurement e.g., CRAMM, Highways etc.Some knowledge of current contract forms, acts & legislation (NEC / JCT) etc.CSCS CardRelevant Degree / Higher, advanced or foundation qualificationAmbition to work towards Professional Accreditation relevant to the roleFull UK Driver’s LicenceSignificant experience within the Construction Industry in a similar roleAccurate record keepingStrong organisational, written & verbal reporting and numerical skillsFully conversant with modern office equipment and Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft ExcelPlanning & programmingA keen attention to detail whilst being able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlinesCollaborative approach to communication with Client / Supply Chain & ColleaguesAbility to manage & mentor site operatives A bit about us!
