Transport Planner
Our client based in the London Heathrow area is currently recruiting, due to expansion for a 4 on 4 off Day Shift (6 am - 6 pm), experienced Transport Planner, to join their well-established logistics operation within the air freight sector.This is a key operational role, responsible for coordinating drivers, planning routes, and ensuring time-critical deliveries are executed efficiently. The position offers stability, structured shifts, and long-term career prospects within a supportive environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, allocate and manage daily transport jobs using a Transport Management SystemCoordinate vehicle movements and driver schedulesAct as the main point of contact for drivers and subcontractorsPrepare and manage driver paperworkHandle incoming calls and operational queriesReport vehicle defects and escalate where requiredSupport general transport and office operationsRequirementsPrevious experience within transport planning or logisticsStrong organisational and communication skillsConfident liaising with drivers and internal teamsGood IT skills (Outlook and general systems use)Knowledge of UK road networks is advantageousReliable, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressureDesirable (not essential):Experience within air freight or regulated environmentsGDP, Cargo Operative or Hazard Awareness trainingBenefitsSalary up to £34,000 depending on skills & experienceGuaranteed hours with paid breaksOvertime opportunities available20–25 days holiday entitlement plus bank holidays (dependent on service and shift pattern)Company bonus schemeEmployee recognition programmeEmployee Assistance ProgrammeFull training providedUniform and safety equipment suppliedAdditional Information4 on / 4 off shift pattern (days)Clean criminal record check required prior to employmentTraining provided where required (including industry certifications)5 Year checkable work history is desirable.Apply now to be considered for this opportunity.
