You'll be part of the supportive in-house team, responsible for the delivery of an efficient and effective health surveillance programme and integral working partner for the ongoing development of Occupational Health and Wellbeing expansion at SGN. As an Occupational Health Advisor, you’ll deliver a first-class, evidence-based OH service across our business. Reporting to the Head of Occupational Health & Wellbeing, you’ll work alongside a growing multidisciplinary team of OH Technicians, and Wellbeing Leads. This is a fast-paced role in an ever-changing environment that will require regular travel across the Scotland region.We deliver safety, warmth, and comfort to homes and businesses. Here’s how you will contribute…Delivering our health surveillance programme across SGN ScotlandProviding timely, accurate and appropriate advice to the business on all matters relating to health and wellbeing within legal and best practise guidelinesSupporting the Lead Nurse and Head of OH in the ongoing development of policies and procedures You will manage your own workload and that of the OH Technicians, maintaining weekly MI and escalating trends to the Head of OHActively refer staff to interventions, support services or signposting to maintain or improve health and wellbeingWork closely with Operations, HR and other key directorates and stakeholders to ensure Occupational Health can deliver, collaborate, influence and drive engagementYou will provide full end to end service including case work, assessments, face fittings etc.Working as part of a continuously growing and developing department, delivering a vital service to our staffWhat you will needNMC registration (Part 3 of the register)A SCPHN OH Qualification is essential to the roleExperience in health surveillance and case managementA strong grasp of UK OH legislation, HSE guidelines, and FOM best practiceA proactive mindset — you’ll be someone who doesn’t just identify health risks, but actively helps solve themExcellent communication and digital skills, with confidence in clinical systems and data-driven reportingYou have a key understanding of data and understand the importance of accurate reportingA tier 3 HAVS qualification is desirable but not essential – you will be expected to work towards this in the roleYou must have a full UK driving license as regular travel will be a key part of this roleNot sure you meet every requirement?Research shows some people – particularly women and those from underrepresented backgrounds – may hesitate to apply unless they meet every criteria.
