Technical Architect (SharePoint)T00:00:00.000ZLondonCapabilitiesfullThe RoleWe are looking for an experienced Technical Architect with strong SharePoint expertise to support the design and evolution of enterprise collaboration platforms in a hybrid on-premise and cloud environment.This role will focus on architecting, governing, and improving SharePoint platforms while ensuring secure integration with Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS hosted services. You will work closely with infrastructure, security, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and compliant collaboration solutions.The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in complex enterprise environments, balancing on-prem SharePoint architecture with cloud services in Microsoft 365, while ensuring alignment with organisational security, compliance, and technical standards.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitecture & DesignLead the technical architecture of SharePoint platforms within a hybrid environment combining on-prem infrastructure and Microsoft 365 servicesDefine architecture patterns for SharePoint, document management, collaboration platforms, and integration servicesProduce high-quality architecture artefacts including high-level designs, detailed technical designs, and implementation roadmapsEnsure SharePoint solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, security standards, and operational requirementsPlatform Engineering & IntegrationArchitect integrations between SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Azure services, and AWS-hosted applicationsDesign solutions for identity, authentication, and access management leveraging technologies such as Azure AD / Entra ID and federated identitySupport the adoption of modern collaboration capabilities while maintaining compatibility with legacy on-prem environmentsProvide technical leadership for migration, upgrade, and transformation initiativesGovernance & SecurityDefine and maintain SharePoint governance models, including site architecture, data classification, retention policies, and permissions structuresEnsure collaboration platforms meet security, compliance, and data protection requirementsWork with cyber security and risk teams to embed secure-by-design architecture principlesTechnical LeadershipProvide architectural leadership and technical assurance across delivery teamsReview solution designs and implementation approaches to ensure alignment with architectural standardsEngage with stakeholders across infrastructure, security, and application teams to deliver integrated solutionsAct as the technical authority for SharePoint platforms within the organisationProven experience as a Technical Architect or Solution Architect in enterprise environmentsexperience with information management, classification and retention and IRMStrong expertise in SharePoint architecture (on-prem and Microsoft 365 / SharePoint Online)Experience designing solutions across hybrid infrastructure environmentsKnowledge of Microsoft 365 platform services including SharePoint, Teams, and OneDriveExperience integrating enterprise systems with Azure servicesFamiliarity with AWS hosted services and integration patternsStrong understanding of identity and access management including Azure AD / Entra IDAbility to produce architecture documentation and technical designsDesirableExperience delivering SharePoint migrations or hybrid deploymentsKnowledge of enterprise collaboration governance frameworksFamiliarity with Power Platform integration (Power Automate, Power Apps)Experience working in large or regulated environmentsThis role will require you to have or be willing to go through Security Clearance.
