They work closely with a diverse client base, helping them navigate complex compliance, financial management and tax challenges, and pride themselves on building long-term, trusted relationships through expertise and a client-focused approach. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Tax Investigations Assistant to join their specialist Tax Investigations and Dispute Resolution team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with UK tax experience and a genuine interest in investigations and disputes to develop their career in a niche, fast-paced and highly technical area of tax. The Role The team advises on a wide range of HMRC matters, including enquiries, investigations, voluntary disclosures and dispute resolution across all major taxes. You will work closely with senior team members, gaining hands-on exposure to real cases and increasing responsibility over time. Your role will include: Supporting HMRC enquiries, investigations and disclosures from commencement through to resolutionPreparing correspondence for HMRC and clients under supervisionProducing spreadsheets, tax calculations and settlement schedulesTracking case progress and ensuring deadlines are metReviewing and analysing client records and financial informationAssisting with voluntary disclosures and negotiationsMaintaining accurate case files and internal systemsLiaising professionally with clients, HMRC and internal teamsAttending meetings with clients and HMRC (initially to observe and take notes, progressing to active involvement)Researching UK tax legislation and HMRC guidanceSupporting the wider Tax team with ad-hoc queries and project work They are ideally looking for someone with UK tax experience, particularly with exposure to investigations, compliance or dispute work, who is keen to specialise further. You will have: Experience working in UK tax across at least two full tax cycles (corporate, personal or mixed)Previous experience in tax investigations, compliance or dispute resolution (highly desirable) Why Join?
