Tax Advisor / Leatherhead / £76000 - £103000 Or client are seeking a Tax Advisor to join their team in Leatherhead, they are the largest publicly traded international oil and gas company, dedicated to driving innovation and sustainability in the energy sector. With diverse operations spanning Upstream Oil and Gas, a refinery and chemical plants, marine fuels, commodity trading, holding and finance companies, and a growing low carbon solutions business, we are at the forefront of shaping the future of the industry. They are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Tax Advisor to join their dynamic direct tax team supporting UK operations. As a pivotal member of the team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on tax matters, ensuring compliance with UK tax legislation, and contributing to the overall financial well-being of the organisation. Key Responsibilities: The Tax Advisor will calculate, prepare, and submit tax returns for individuals and businesses.Provide expert advice on business plans and investment opportunities, considering tax implications.Stay up-to-date with the latest changes in taxation legislation and ensure compliance.Minimise tax liabilities through strategic planning and compliance efforts.Collaborate with revenue, customs, and excise departments as necessary.Play a crucial role in streamlining and minimising tax liabilities for various business units. Ideal Candidate: Regional Tax Expertise: In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations in the UK.Financial Experience: A strong background in finance and accounting.Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex financial data and translate it into actionable recommendations.Communication Skills: Proficiency in explaining complex tax issues in simple, understandable terms.Qualification: Either a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or a qualified tax advisor (CTA) with a minimum of 4/5 years in UK corporation tax.
