Business development executiveLocation: Remote (preferred locations Northamptonshire/ Milton Keynes) Reports to: Group CEOSalary: £45,000 pa, (OTE £60,000 pa) Join a growing team making a real impact At Impact HR, we help SME businesses protect, empower, grow and thrive through practical HR, Health & Safety, Payroll, Recruitment and HR Technology solutions.As our business continues to grow across the UK, we are looking for a commercially driven Business Development Executive to help drive new client growth, strengthen relationships and expand our presence within the SME market.This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, ambitious and entrepreneurial business where your contribution will directly support the future growth of the organisation.We are looking for someone who is hungry, proactive and motivated by building relationships, creating opportunities and making things happen.This is a role for someone who enjoys being out in the market, speaking with people, building networks and becoming a trusted representative of a growing brand.Why this role mattersGrowth is central to our vision.As Impact HR continues to expand nationally, we are focused on building strong relationships with SME businesses, referral partners and professional networks across the UK.You will be one of the key ambassadors for the Impact HR brand.What you will be doingYou will be responsible for identifying, generating and developing new business opportunities across the SME market.You will work closely with operational and leadership teams to support sustainable growth across the business.Business developmentGenerate new sales opportunities through networking, referrals, partnerships and outbound activityBuild relationships with business owners, Managing Directors, HR leaders and senior decision makersAttend face-to-face client meetings and introductory discussions across the regionPromote the full range of Impact HR services across HR, Health & Safety, Payroll, Recruitment and HR TechnologyIdentify opportunities for both immediate and future businessDevelop and maintain a healthy sales pipelineAchieve agreed activity and revenue targetsSupport wider group growth initiatives and campaignsYour day to day will include:Lead generation and prospectingResearch and identify target organisations aligned to our Ideal Client ProfileConduct outbound prospecting activity through telephone, email, LinkedIn and networkingFollow up inbound and marketing-generated enquiriesQualify opportunities and understand client challenges and objectivesArrange meetings and introductions with senior consultants where appropriateMaintain accurate CRM records, pipeline activity and reportingNetworking, events and brand representationRepresent Impact HR at networking events, seminars, exhibitions, expos and business eventsBuild strong relationships within local and regional business communitiesAct as a visible ambassador for the Impact HR brandSupport webinars, roundtables and thought leadership activityDevelop relationships with prospective clients, introducers and strategic partnersMaintain a professional and credible personal presence both online and in personConsultative relationship buildingUnderstand client challenges, risks and commercial objectivesIdentify opportunities where Impact HR can support business growth and operational improvementBuild trusted long-term relationships with clients and stakeholdersWork collaboratively with operational teams to ensure smooth onboarding and client handoverSupport account growth opportunities across existing client relationshipsHelp deliver an outstanding client experience throughout the sales journeyReporting and pipeline managementMaintain accurate CRM records and sales activity trackingProduce regular pipeline, activity and opportunity reportsTrack lead conversion and sales performanceMonitor pipeline progression and forecastingTake ownership of your pipeline and proactively manage opportunities through the sales processShare market insight and feedback with leadership teamsWhat Success Looks Like (First 12 Months)Consistent generation of qualified SME opportunities and commercial conversationsConsistent networking and market visibilityNew recurring revenue generated across multiple servicesTrusted relationships established with referral partnersAccurate CRM reporting and pipeline managementPositive feedback from clients and colleaguesActive contribution to group growth objectivesStrong personal reputation within the regional business communityAbout YouYou are motivated by building relationships, creating opportunities and making things happen.You are personable, commercially aware and energised by meeting new people.
