Senior Estates Surveyor£60.76/hr Umbrella | 31 weeks | Hybrid (Somerset)If you enjoy high-value disposals, autonomy, and seeing deals through end-to-end — this one’s for you.Ribble Recruitment is supporting a local authority in Somerset to appoint an Interim Senior Estates Surveyor to deliver a busy programme of property transfers and disposals across a large, diverse public sector estate.You’ll take ownership of complex estates casework, manage transactions up to £1m, and play a key role in shaping long-term asset strategy — not just keeping the lights on.What you’ll be doingLeading property transfers & disposals from valuation through to completionEnsuring full compliance with Section 123 (Local Government Act 1972)Appointing and managing external agents, valuers, and legal advisorsProducing options appraisals, feasibility studies, and business casesSupporting delivery of the Strategic Asset Management PlanWorking across a varied estate: commercial, community, surplus & rural assetsThis is hands-on, delivery-focused estates work with real autonomy.
