Corporate Actions Specialist
My clients is currently looking for a Corporate Actions specialist to join their team in Blackpool and be a subject matter expert to the team.The successful candidate will be responsible for providing deep technical expertise across complex corporate action events, acting as a point of escalation, quality control, and knowledge leadership within the Corporate Actions function. Key FocusesUpskilling and mentoring operational staffInterpreting and managing complex, high-risk and non-standard corporate actionsProcessing complex, high-risk and non-standard corporate actionsEnsuring regulatory, jurisdictional and tax considerations are correctly appliedSupporting a UK and Channel Islands wealth management businessDuties and responsibilitiesAct as the primary technical authority for complex and non-standard corporate action events, including but not limited to:Tender offers, schemes of arrangement, mergers, demergers, re-domiciliation and restructuringsEvents with jurisdictional restrictions, solicitation limitations and regulatory sensitivitiesEvents involving overseas markets, depositary interests and custody chains.Interpret issuer documentation, circulars and offer terms to determine:Correct processing requirementsClient eligibility and restrictionsInstruction mechanics and deadlinesSettlement, consideration and entitlement treatment.Lead and support the technical development of Corporate Actions staff, including:On-the-job coaching and mentoringTechnical walkthroughs of complex eventsSupport with interpreting offer documentation and restrictions.Contribute to the development and maintenance of:Corporate actions proceduresTechnical guidance notes and FAQsTraining materials and reference documentation.Act as a go-to escalation point for complex queries from within Operations, Front Office and Client Services.Extensive Benefits Package Includes:Pension: Up to 7.5% employer matching (4.5% employee minimum contribution)Private Medical Insurance: Cover for employee, spouse/partner, and children via Vitality from day oneMedical Cash Plan: Dental, eye care, physiotherapy, and more via Simply HealthLife Assurance: 4x annual salary (from start date)25 days holiday, increasing with tenure (+ bank holidays)Share Incentive Plan: Company matched shares (after 6 months)Electric Car Scheme, Cycle to Work, and Interest-Free Season Ticket LoanEnhanced Maternity & Paternity LeaveWellness Days, flu jabs, eye care vouchersMicrosoft Office for home useDiscounts on the company's own investment servicesVisit the IDEX Consulting Ltd website for further opportunities.
