Finance Manager - Part Time
Fast growing technology business based in the Alderley Edge area requires a Finance Manager on the temp or temp to perm basis. This role is a part time role looking for someone approx. 3 days a week. This would suit s parent looking for school hours or someone looking for flexible part time hours.Reporting to the business owners’ duties will include:Day-to-Day Bookkeeping & XeroOwn all posting and reconciliation in Xero, including sales invoices, purchase invoices, bank reconciliations, and journalsPost monthly payroll journals and ensure the nominal ledger is accurate and up to date at all timesMaintain the fixed asset register and post depreciation journalsPost prepayments, accruals, and deferred income entries each monthEnsure all balance sheet accounts are fully reconciled on a monthly basisCredit Control & Accounts ReceivableOwn the end-to-end billing process Proactively chase outstanding debts by phone and email, maintaining a debtor ledger and escalating where necessaryMonitor accounts receivable aging and produce a weekly debtors report for the CEOWork with the Account Management team to identify and invoice customer overages in a timely mannerManage supplier payments and ensure the purchase ledger is maintained accuratelyManagement Accounts & ReportingPrepare monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for the CEO, including variance analysis against budget and prior yearProvide meaningful commentary on financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunitiesPrepare ad-hoc commercial analysis as requested by the CEOBudgeting & ForecastingOwn the annual budgeting process, working closely with the CEO and budget holders across the businessPayroll & People FinancePrepare and submit the monthly payroll file to the external payroll provider, ensuring accuracy and timelinessEnsure compliance with all PAYE, NIC, and P11D obligations and payments to HMRCManage monthly pension submissions and payments in line with auto-enrolment obligationsOverall management of employee benefit schemesStatutory, Compliance & TaxPrepare quarterly VAT returns in Xero for CEO review and submission to HMRCOwn the annual audit process: prepare the audit pack, liaise with auditors, and resolve queriesManage the R&D Tax Credit claim process, working with external advisers where applicableEnsure ongoing compliance with all relevant financial regulations, Companies House filings, and internal policiesThe right candidate for the role will have experience of producing month end reporting, dealing with queries and be used to working in a role where you are a self-starter and confident in your own ability .
