Purpose of Post: The Youth Hub Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of the Young Person Skills & Employment Hub based at Nelson College London's Broadstairs campus (Northwood Road). The role will ensure that the Hub provides a professional, inclusive, and supportive environment where young people aged 16-25 can access employability services, skills development, and progression opportunities. The Youth Hub Coordinator will act as the central point of contact for Hub operations, liaising with DWP Work Coaches, NCL staff, employers, and community partners. The role requires excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills to ensure the Hub operates smoothly, delivers measurable outcomes, and meets all compliance requirements. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee the daily running of the Youth Hub, ensuring it operates efficiently during opening hoursManage clients, meeting spaces, and facilities, creating a professional and welcoming environment for young people and staffAct as the main liaison between NCL, DWP Work Coaches, employers, training providers, and voluntary organisationsAct as an employability and progression lead for Broadstairs campusProvide a supportive and inclusive environment for all young people accessing the Hub, working with Youth Engagement Officers to deliver tailored guidance and action plans as directed by the Assistant Marketing ManagerMaintain accurate records of attendance, participation, and progression outcomes, ensuring compliance with GDPRProduce timely reports for NCL management and DWP to demonstrate outputs and impactEnsure compliance with safeguarding, Prevent, equality and diversity, and health & safety policiesSupport NCL Management in promoting the Hub locally through schools, colleges, community partners, employers, and digital campaignsAssist with organising events, workshops, and outreach activities to raise awareness of the Hub and provide opportunities for young people Other General College Duties Work flexibly as part of the College team to ensure the smooth running of the College's premises and facilitiesParticipate actively and flexibly in a range of?College-wide activities, such as duty?rotas,?enrolment?and marketing eventsParticipate in training and team development activities, to develop and update skills and knowledgeUnderstand and be committed to the College's health and safety Policy statement and the College's safety priorities and be aware of your contribution to themBe aware of the College's equality policies and?demonstrate?commitment and enthusiasm to promote the principle of equality and diversity throughout all aspects of your workBe familiar with safeguarding requirements as outlined in the College's policies and?comply with?its requirements to safeguard and protect the welfare of young people and vulnerable adultsUndertake such?additional?duties or projects as directed by the directors or senior managers of the College. Person Specification: The successful candidate should have the knowledge and competence required for standard acceptable performance in carrying out this role.
