Children’s Home Registered ManagerSalary: £55,000 – £60,000Location: Southwest London areaJob Type: Full-time An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Children’s Home Registered Manager to lead a new 5-bed residential service due to open in late 2026. The role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children with emotional and behavioural needs. Day-to-day responsibilities: Provide leadership and overall management of the home, establishing a clear vision and positive culture.Recruit, manage, and motivate a dedicated staff team to deliver high-quality care.Lead on service development, introduce effective ways of working, and collaborate with external partners.Apply a holistic, strengths-based care model focused on relationships, empowerment, learning, and wellbeing.Oversee the home’s facilities to ensure a safe and healthy environment for children and staff. Required skills & qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care (or equivalent).Significant management experience within a children’s residential setting, ideally supporting young people with emotional, social, or behavioural challenges.Demonstrated success in improving service outcomes and managing regulatory inspections.Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team engagement and resilience.Comprehensive understanding of legislation, guidance, and best practice for looked-after children.
