This role involves providing a professional and innovative legal service predominantly in civil and criminal litigation, employment, and education matters. Day-to-day of the role: Provide legal advice and services on a wide range of public law and litigation matters, including civil actions and judicial review matters.Attend courts and tribunals, undertaking advocacy as required.Supervise junior members of the litigation team to ensure high-quality, well-researched, and comprehensive legal advice.Act as a legal advisor to client organisations, ensuring compliance with statutory duties and obligations.Represent clients in negotiations and discussions with third parties.Support the leadership team in building and maintaining effective working relationships with clients.Promote the business and identify further areas of development for existing and potential work streams.Comply with all practice management requirements including time recording, billing, SRA Compliance, Lexcel, and other accreditation schemes.Develop and provide legal input for training courses for professional clients.Deputise for the Principal Lawyer (Litigation) as required.
