The service provides 24-hour staffing, including overnight sleep-in support, and delivers person-centred, recovery-focused care designed to increase independence and help residents move towards more independent living.Support is tailored around the individual and covers mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, and daily living needs. Service users are actively involved in decision-making, feedback, and shaping how the service operates.The RoleAs a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting residents to progress in their recovery, build life skills, and achieve their personal goals. You’ll work both 1:1 and in group settings, contributing to a positive, safe, and empowering environment.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is empathetic, creative, and motivated to develop their skills within a supportive organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain trusting, professional relationships with service usersSupport individuals to set, prioritise, and achieve personal goalsCarry out assessments, risk assessments, and placement reviewsWork collaboratively with external professionals and agenciesSupport residents with medication (prompting and administering – training provided)Assist with benefits, education, appointments, bills, forms, and correspondenceSupport with personal care when requiredEncourage participation in daily activities to develop skills and interestsAssist with cooking, cleaning, and domestic tasks (infection control training provided)Maintain accurate, timely, and person-centred records using computer-based systemsAdhere to lone working policies and professional boundariesUndertake mandatory and role-related training and learningWhat We’re Looking ForEssential:Experience supporting vulnerable individuals (paid, voluntary, or life experience)GCSE or Level 2 qualification in English (or equivalent)Basic IT skills (email and word processing)Ability to work a 24/7 rota including sleep-insAccess to transport (car or public transport)DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)A non-judgemental, empathetic approachAbility to work collaboratively and maintain professional boundariesWillingness to undertake domestic and practical support tasksStrong communication, problem-solving, and record-keeping skillsDesirable:Lived experience of mental health distressNVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)What’s On OfferCompetitive pay of £12.71 per hour£65 per sleep-in, paid in addition to hourly rateOngoing training and developmentSupportive team and positive working cultureOpportunity to develop medication, keyworking, and assessment skillsPlease note we are unable to provide sponsorship for this role.
