We're sure you've tried our products because we supply food for the all the major supermarkets in the UK!Here in Boston we employ around 400 colleagues and produce ready to eat salads, prepared vegetables and snacks for many of the major retailers such as Coop, Boots, Greggs, Costco, Spar and BOL.What you'll be doing:In the role of Machine Operator, the post holder will work within designated production areas and will be fully responsible for the operation, monitoring, and effective running of assigned production lines and associated machinery. The role involves a significant level of manual labour and requires strict adherence to company procedures, quality standards, and health and safety regulations.Key duties and responsibilities include:Operating, overseeing, and maintaining the continuous and efficient running of production lines and machinery in line with operational requirementsEnsuring materials and food products are supplied to the production process in a timely manner to prevent downtimeUndertaking manual handling duties as required to support production outputAccurately completing all production, quality, and safety documentationMaintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with health, safety, and food safety legislationWorking closely with production, warehouse, and quality teams to ensure operational efficiencyCarrying out any additional duties reasonably assigned by the line managerWhat we're looking for:Applicants must have a good level of education verbal, written and numerical. We produce coleslaw, potato salad, salad bar bulk products (2kg), pasta salads and couscous/grains for some of the biggest retailers in the UK including Morrisons, Co-op, Asda, Aldi, Sainsbury's, Nando's and Pizza Hut. Our Spalding site has a restaurant with hot food available to all our colleagues.What you'll be doing:As a Hygiene Operative you be required to undertake all aspects of cleaning all food manufacturing areas, equipment and machinery to meet food hygiene standards. You will be carrying out the consistent application of hygiene within a given area/line to make sure the area is maintained to the agreed standards. It'll be part of your job to ensure that all sanitation processes are completed in full and that hygiene standards for a given area are maintained during the production shift. Some duties include:Carry out Daily Cleaning of all areas of the factory as part of a teamTo schedule Deep cleaning of large machineryWearing full PPE such as : Chemical suit, Visor, Wellingtons, Gloves and Safety gogglesWorking in Chilled and Hot environmentsFilling out Paperwork to document the cleansPromote good health and safety culture within the work placeUse of/ and storage of chemicalsReporting of any damaged equipment or machinery.What we're looking for:Anybody is able to do this role as training and education will be provided. Previous experience is an advantage but not a necessity. A basic understanding of English, both verbal and written is a must. Any background with COSHH and HACCP is highly advantageous but not a necessity.
