As a Rent & Service Charge Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient financial operations related to rent collection and service charge management. You will play a vital role in helping us deliver transparent, well-managed financial services that benefit both our residents and our business. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the accurate billing and collection of rent and service charges across our portfolio of propertiesManage and maintain detailed records of rent payments, service charge calculations, and adjustmentsPrepare and process service charge budgets, ensuring compliance with regulatory standardsProvide financial reports and analysis to senior management, highlighting key trends and performance indicatorsResolve any discrepancies or issues with rent and service charge payments in a timely and professional mannerRental and service charge reconciliationsManaging estate management recharging and reconciliations Experience Required: Proven experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in property management or housingStrong understanding of rent and service charge accounting processesProficient in accounting software and Microsoft ExcelExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsA proactive, organized approach with a keen eye for detailA degree in Accounting or a relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) is desirable Whats on offer: Competitive salary and benefits packageOpportunities for career progression and professional developmentA supportive and inclusive working environmentThe chance to make a meaningful impact in the housing sector This is a 12 month contract to cover maternity.
