Description Develop and implement robust cyber security strategies and policies.Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities.Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Collaborate with internal teams to enhance overall IT security.Provide expert advice on potential security threats and solutions.Oversee security training and awareness programmes for staff.Manage and maintain security tools and technologies effectively. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of hands-on management in fast-paced environment, working on their own initiative and providing expert advice regarding security matters. You will also play a key role in ensuring the University’s compliance with the forthcoming Martyn’s Law legislation. This role would suit individuals with a track record in creating a culture of exceptional delivery and managing change. Strong communication skills will be essential as the role includes extensive partnerships with our neighbouring higher education institutions.
