This role would suit candidates with a passion for working within a fast paced and demanding work environment, where your efforts are rewarded with an excellent bonus scheme paid monthly (from day one). The right candidate will have previous experience of working with large complex accounts, high values and high volumes, and a proven ability to build relationships with internal sales teams.Reporting into the Credit Manager, your duties will include:Responsibility for a complete and high value ledger worth approx £10 million per monthChasing outstanding debt, ensuring all sums are paid within termsMaintaining all customer accounts within designated credit limit and termsActioning all queries and disputed invoicesDealing with high value blue chip clientsReporting and preparing accounts for review by ManagementAttend regular meetings with sales and other departments to minimise customer disputesSetting up new accounts in sales ledgerReferring any problematic accounts, and preparing accounts for litigationVisiting with clients as necessary to build strong relationships and resolve any outstanding queriesSkills/Experience required:Commercial B2B credit control experience, ideally within a large complex organisationExperience of working with high value key accountsExperience of working within a fast paced, pressurised and dynamic environmentProven experience of working and building relationships with demanding internal sales teamsGood Excel skills (pivot tables/vlookups)Ability to work under pressureExcellent relationship building skillsExcellent communication skills (written/oral/face to face)Self motivated, driven characterExcellent organisational and time management skillsIf you are interested in this vacancy please contact CWC Recruitment Ltd. About the Role We’re seeking an organised, proactive, and confident Credit Controller to join our team. You will play a crucial role in managing the company’s debtors, ensuring timely payments, resolving queries, and maintaining strong relationships with clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing customer service with financial accuracy. This role is fully office-based in Huntingdon and can pay £22 per hour on an initial 3 month contract. Key Responsibilities Proactively chase outstanding invoices via phone, email, and written communicationAllocate and reconcile paymentsMonitor customer accounts and place accounts on stop where necessaryMaintain accurate records of all debtor interactionsResolve invoice disputes and escalate issues when requiredProduce weekly and monthly debtor reportsWork closely with sales, finance, and operations teams to streamline processesAssist in improving credit control procedures and reducing aged debt Skills & Experience Previous experience in a credit control or similar finance roleExcellent communication skills with a confident telephone mannerStrong attention to detail and high level of accuracyAbility to build effective working relationships with customers and colleaguesGood working knowledge of Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, SAP – advantage but not essential)Strong organisational and time-management skillsAbility to work autonomously and prioritise workload effectively
