This is a fast-paced, operational role requiring strong ownership, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.This role is best suited to candidates who are confident working with data, experienced in managing purchase orders end-to-end, and have a solid understanding of import/export processes, Far East factories, and cost management.Key ResponsibilitiesPurchase Order & Supplier ManagementRaise, manage, and track purchase orders end-to-endEnsure all POs are placed accurately and followed through to deliveryProactively chase suppliers to confirm lead times, resolve delays, and mitigate risksEnsure orders are booked and shipped in line with required timelinesInventory & Stock ControlMonitor stock levels to maintain availability in line with demandIdentify and escalate risks to availability earlyInvestigate stock discrepancies and support stock accuracy initiativesWork closely with planning to manage slow-moving or at-risk stockLogistics, Imports & Delivery CoordinationManage inbound shipments, including import/export processes and documentationWork with freight forwarders to ensure smooth customs clearanceCoordinate direct-to-customer shipments under FOB termsTrack shipments and ensure timely receipt into the warehouse or delivery to customerResolve delays, customs issues, and logistics challenges proactivelyData, Costing & System ManagementMaintain accurate product, pricing, and PO data within internal systemsDevelop and manage landed cost calculations, including freight, duties, and currency impactUnderstand and manage how freight rates and currency exchange fluctuations affect margin and costUse Excel and ERP systems to analyse and manage supply chain dataCommercial Planning & AnalysisUse Excel to review sales performance and support forward planning decisionsContribute to demand planning through data-driven insightsSupport stock and purchasing decisions with a strong commercial mindsetContinuous ImprovementIdentify inefficiencies and suggest process improvementsSupport KPI tracking and performance reportingContribute to improving supplier performance and internal processesKey Skills & CompetenciesStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesHigh attention to detail and accuracyStrong commercial awareness and understanding of cost driversProactive mindset with ownership of issues and outcomesConfident communicator with suppliers and internal teamsAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentExperience & RequirementsMinimum 2 years’ experience in a supply chain or purchasing role (essential)Proven experience raising and managing purchase orders end-to-endSolid experience with import/export procedures and working with freight forwardersStrong understanding of:FOB / international shipping termsCustoms clearance processesLanded cost calculations (including freight, duty, and currency impact)Strong Excel skills (essential):VLOOKUP / XLOOKUPPivot TablesAbility to analyse large datasets and support planning decisionsExperience using ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Netsuite, Oracle, or similar)Experience in FMCG, distribution, or a high-volume product environment (preferred)Screening & Selection ProcessTo ensure a high standard of candidates:Applicants will be required to complete a practical assessmentThis will include:Excel/data analysis task (including lookups and pivot tables)Scenario-based supply chain problem solvingBasic landed cost / margin understandingOnly candidates demonstrating the required level of competence will progress to interview.What We OfferSalary £27,000 – £32,000 DOEOpportunity to develop within a growing businessExposure to end-to-end supply chain operationsA fast-paced, results-driven working environmentAdditional RequirementsMust be able to reliably commute to Birstall WF17Right to work in the UK
