Based within a fast-paced production environment, you'll play a vital role in ensuring products consistently meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and the highest quality standards. Working closely with production and management teams, you'll be at the heart of quality assurance, driving continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance processes, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.What’s in it for you?Work hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, and Saturday 8am to 12pmSalary: Up to £30,000Company pensionFree parkingCanteen facilitiesLong-term career opportunityQuality Controller Responsibilities:Conduct in-process and final quality inspections to identify and address issues and ensure products meet customer expectations and quality standardsMonitor production quality, checking dimensions, print quality, palletisation, and product consistencyReview samples from current and previous shift production to ensure consistency and complianceCarry out regular factory floor inspections, monitoring production at various stages of manufacture Undertake final product evaluations through sampling and testing Identify, investigate, and escalate quality issues, carrying out root cause analysis and supporting corrective actionsMaintain accurate quality documentation, inspection records, and audit trailsWork closely with production teams to drive continuous improvement and maintain GMP, FSC, ISO, and other industry standardsQuality Controller Skills and Experience:Previous quality control experience within the packaging manufacturing industry is essentialExceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot defects and inconsistencies Good understanding of packaging materials, printing processes, and quality testing methodsConfident using quality systems, Microsoft Excel, and producing accurate reportsStrong communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
