Job Title: PDI and Quality Manager Location: Time will be split between Winsford, Cheshire and Hebden Bridge, West Yorks Salary: Competitive Job Type: Full Time, Permanent About The Company: Gemco is the largest garage equipment company in the UK providing repair, maintenance, installation and sales solutions to a range of fast fit centres, dealerships, independent garages and commercial fleet operators. About The Role: We are committed to continuous improvement and as PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) & Quality Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and optimising the pre-sale operations for our range of garage equipment. You will oversee the process of equipment undergoing rigorous quality inspections and testing, to ensure that it will meet industry regulations and company standards and requirements, as well as meeting our customers' expectations. Working with several different departments and reporting directly to the Head of Technical & Training, you will also be responsible for managing the PDI team. Key Responsibilities: Overseeing the PDI departmentResponsible for the new product introduction processConducting product testing, working with manufacturers for continuous improvements and R&DManaging CE / Government approvals to ensure the business and products are compliantConducting regular equipment batch testing to ensure quality is maintainedProviding technical feedback for marketing, sales and supplier development for warranty rates and continuous improvementSupporting marketing, sales and supplier development with technical recommendations and specifications for existing and new productsDeveloping partnerships with key product suppliers / manufacturers / product managersCreating, updating and maintaining RAMS for new and existing productsCreating processes and procedures for the PDI departmentInspecting returned parts and equipment in line with warranty proceduresManaging "Quarantined" stock / repairs About you: You will need to be able to commute between our Head Office (Training Centre) and Warehousing sites (a vehicle will be supplied)Prior experience of working in or knowledge of a technical training departmentStrong technical background ideally in electro-mechanics and experience working with a wide range of equipmentSignificant attention to detail and accuracyA good communicator, used to dealing with a wide variety of people using different methodsAttend training as required by the role including, but not limited to, technical training first aid / fire marshal training Benefits: Company Vehicle'Medicash' Healthcare Plan25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, increasing to 26 days with service.Company sick pay (increasing with service)Company pension schemeLife Assurance Scheme (increasing with service)Bereavement leaveNew engineer referral programme paying up to £2,500 per referral Please click the APPLY button to send your CV for this role, ideally to include a covering letter explaining why you feel that you would be suitable.
