Programme Manager We are seeking an exceptional Programme Manager to lead a transformative national service empowering people with sight loss through technology.Salary: £42,000 per annumLocation: Remote with regular UK-wide travel Hours: Full-time (36 hours per week) Closing Date: 2nd July 2026 (applications may close early)About the roleThis is a rare opportunity to lead the development of an innovative, nationwide Technology Empowerment Service for people with sight loss. Reporting to the CEO, you will design and deliver a programme that enables individuals to confidently access and use technology to live independently.Key responsibilities include:Leading the design, launch and ongoing development of the serviceCreating accessible training resources, systems and support frameworksBuilding and managing partnerships with community organisations and sector stakeholdersRecruiting, developing and supporting a national volunteer networkLine managing the Volunteer & Projects Co-ordinatorDeveloping monitoring, evaluation and impact frameworksManaging budgets, reporting to senior leadership and supporting strategic planningActing as Designated Safeguarding Lead (training provided)Ensuring the service evolves in line with new technologies and user needsRegular travel across the UK is required, particularly during the early stages of programme rollout.About youYou will be an experienced programme or project manager with a strong track record of delivering complex initiatives from concept to implementation.You will bring:Proven experience designing and delivering new services or programmesStrong project management, planning and organisational skillsExperience managing people and working with volunteersExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environmentExperience of monitoring, evaluation and reportingA collaborative and adaptable approach, with a commitment to inclusionKnowledge of assistive technology, the disability sector or lived experience of sight loss would be advantageous.About the organisationOur client is a national charity undergoing an exciting transformation to become a leading technology empowerment service supporting people with sight loss.
